Nowadays, we see that almost everybody have a smartphone, there are cool cars and bikes everywhere, easy transportation, those are the effect of the globalization. the era where everybody can easily get informations, or maybe even make easy money, it is the era of globalization. Globalization is is the process of integration across world-space arising from the interchange of world views, products, ideas, and other aspects of culture. Advances in transportation and telecommunications infrastructure, including the rise of the telegraph and its posterity the Internet, are major factors in globalization, generating further interdependence of economic and cultural activities. It's also a process by which the pursuit of liberal ideas and policies have led to increase economic growth throughout the world. Globalization also connotes increasing economic interdependence as well as the spread of western cultural influence all over the world.
although it looks like that the globalization have so many good effect, like every other things, it has some negative effects also. And especially in Indonesia. i know it would sounds so good and convenient if globalization will only pour its good effects to indonesia. Well unfortunately, it is also pour a measurable amount of its negative effects to indonesia. These negative effects of globalization sure is not something that we can ignore. So now, with all the positive and negative effects, there is one good question. Is the globalization good? or is it bad? especially in Indoneisa where most of the people are very consumtive and simple minded.these are the effects that globalization has in Indonesia:
- Easy access to get a lot of information.
It is so great that everybody could get some information that they need easily. but, in the other hand, it could give some bad information or something like that which can affect our mind.
- The development of knowledge and technologiy
with globalization it is easy for smart person to study in other country. but the technology could easily make people addicted to it which is not good. and there many people that use technology for the wrong purpose like watching adult movie in the internet.
- Toughen the economy of Indonesia
Globalization make the flow of the economy in this country faster and stronger. we can see that from the equilibrium or the balance of our country's export and import. and our country also always known as a good place to invest, specially at mining, agriculture, and textile industry. however, globalization also created an internation free market where every country in the world is free to do trading with another country, called free trade. the free trade makes Indonesia's economy strong. but. all the foreigner company that exist in indonesia, and all the famous brand from around the world, can makes our country's original brand losing its feed and bangkrupt, which is not good.
- People's standard of living
in this unlimited world, it has a high possibility that people will try to increase their standard of living. but, in Indonesia, there are too many people with no education. therefore, there will be a social inequality.
- Westernization
i truly agree that western country such america have so many thing that we can copy or imitate. but we will slowly forget and doesn't seems to care about our country's culture anymore,
Now we caan clearly see, eventhough the effects of globalization are really convenient, but at the same time it also give us some bad influence. In Indonesia specifically. the citizens of this country are consist of a lot of people with no education, no job, and anarchy people, which could easily got influenced and don't know how to use the technology wisely. now back to the question, for Indonesia, is the globalization good or bad?
the answer to that question is depend on the people of indonesia itself. if they are smart, then the globalization will make their economy stronger. but if they don't. not just the economy, the morale of the people will also collapse. because of the incorrect use of the technology and information. so, along with this article, i'd like to invite each and everyone of you to keep struggling to be the best, keep trying ti fix our attitude, all for a better INDONESIA
